In the past few years, social media has exploded! It seems now-a-days almost everyone strives to be connected and they do this by taking part in some sort of social media platform. Whether that is Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc. I mean, when you think about it, that’s great for companies because it makes advertising and marketing that much easier.
In this blog today, I will give you 3 reasons (even though there are way more) why social media is a great marketing tool!
- It’s free advertising!
- Yes, free… to an extent. All social media platforms allow you to promote your brand, but facebook is your best bet. Facebook lets companies build a free business page. On this free page, businesses can generate likes, comments and reach out to their target audience, and tell their story. You can upload pictures, articles, links, etc., but the only people that will see it are those who have chosen to ‘like’ your page. That is where money will become a necessity. By investing money into your business page, you will have the capability of reaching mass audiences, increasing brand awareness, and solidifying your brand.
- Easy Access to target market!
- Like I mentioned in the very first paragraph, it seems like almost everyone is taking part in social media. This makes it easy for you to reach, respond, and research your target market which in turn improves customer service. First, you are able to contact a lot of current and new potential customers and help them with whatever it is that they need. Secondly, you can respond to comments, concerns, and/or questions in a timely manner through social media (there is even a section on Facebook that tells you your “response rate”). Lastly, researching your target market is an option you could take advantage of. With this, you have the capability of getting to know your target up close and personal by being able to read their posts, tweets, interests, occupation, etc.
- Help increase sales!
- There are various different techniques and tactics that will help increase sales, but from our experience, especially in the property management industry, social media has contributed immensely to our growth. We think this is because of a couple reasons. First, social media gives us knowledge on our consumer’s interest. We are able to pinpoint where people will see our posts, who will see the messages we are sending, and for how long. Second, it passes our brand to thousands upon thousands of consumers. Through boosted posts, we can market to thousands of people in a short span of time at an affordable cost. You’d be crazy to not use social media for you business.
Moving forward, I hope this sparked your interest and convinces you to start your social media marketing today! Remember, if you are ever having any trouble, there are various blogs and recommended resources to help you with concreting your social media presence and increasing your success.
